Regular Season Round 28: Cibona - Mega BG 83-88

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked SerbianMega BG (15-13) defeated 15th ranked Croatian Cibona (4-24) in Zagreb 88-83 on Monday. Mega BG made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by guard Mihailo Petrovic (190-2003) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 assists and forward Bogoljub Markovic (210-2005) supported him with 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by guard Sven Smajlagic (196-1990) did not help to save the game for Cibona . Croatian Domagoj Vukovic (208-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for lost side. Four Cibona players scored in double figures. Mega BG have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Spartak. Cibona lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 24 games lost.
